Childcare Cook â Belrose | 90 Place Early Learning Centre
Save Our Service is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our valued early childhood clients for an experienced Childcare Cook to join their 90-place centre located in Belrose.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated cook who is passionate about children's nutrition and has previous experience working within an early childhood setting.
About the Role
As the Centre Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks for up to 90 children each day. You will play an important role in supporting children's health and wellbeing while ensuring all meals meet dietary requirements and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve healthy, nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with the centre menu
Cater for allergies, cultural requirements, and individual dietary needs
Maintain a clean, organised, and compliant kitchen environment
Manage food ordering, stock control, and kitchen records
Ensure all food handling and preparation practices comply with food safety regulations
Work collaboratively with centre management and educators
Essential Requirements
Previous experience as a Cook within an Early Childhood Education and Care setting
Strong understanding of food allergies, anaphylaxis management, and dietary requirements for young children
Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (minimum requirement)
Excellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen compliance requirements
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Current Working With Children Check (or ability to obtain one)
